The schedule for the 2007-2008 fraternal year is as follows: August 23, 2007 Nativity of Our Lord (Planning Meeting) September 27, 2007 Northern Zone (Tri-Zones Meeting at Martyrs' Shrine in Midland) November 29, 2007 Heart Lake Council, Brampton January 31, 2008 Knight's Table, Brampton March 27, 2008 Nativity of Our Lord Council, Etobicoke May 29, 2008 TBA   Back to top     Association Assessments A) The Toronto Western Zone assessment is $50 per year, with new councils being exempted for the first three years from their charter date. B) To cover the costs of the Association's Hospitality Suite at the State Convention, Councils are also assessed the following: A minimum of 1) $100 for Councils 1 to 3 years old and less then 200 members; 2) $200 for Councils over 3 years old and less then 200 members; and 3) $300 for Councils over 3 years old and more then 200 members. C) To assist in covering the costs incurred by the only Second Degree Team (District 53) in the Western Zone, such as cleaning robes, replacing damaged paraphernalia, etc., each Council will be assessed $20.   Back to top     Supreme Delegates During the years 2001 to 2006, the State Board has indicated that the Toronto Western Zone will be eligible to send a delegate to the Supreme Convention in 2006.   Back to top     Council/District Events Clergy Appreciation Night (Districts 24 & 27) on April 23rd, 2008 at St. Stanislaus Church Hall, 12 Denison Ave., in Toronto. Cocktails: 7 PM, Dinner: 7:45 PM. Cost: $25 per person.  Association Hospitality Suite Our Hospitality Suite during the Ontario State Convention from May 19 to 21, 2007 will be at the International Plaza Hotel in the Peel Room. Please note that we will require help on Friday morning, May 18th at 11 AM, to transport supplies to the hotel and to setupthe room. They will also need help on Monday morning, May 21 at 8:30 AM, to clean up the room and to transport the supplies from the hotel. For more information contact Bro. Frank Ficker or Bro. Association Officer Training Session The Western Zone's Training Session for the 2007/2008 Fraternal Year's incoming Council Executive will be held on June 14, 2008 in District 27 at St. Joan of Arc Church, 1701 Bloor St., West (at Keele). Registration is at 8:15 AM. Seminar is from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Cost is $5.00 per person and includes course material, refreshment and lunch. Tri-Zone Retreat The three Zones in the Archdiocese of Toronto will be holding a retreat at Martyrs Shrine on Saturday May 26, 2007. The retreat will run from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM and Father Kirsten will be conducting the retreat. Space is limited to 50 people so it will be on a first come first served basis.
